Janet Walsh, founder of Nashville based Tea, Tea & Company, is a well-known convener of conversations that make a difference. Blessed with the gift of sitting, with both the living and the dying, Janet has served families and communities for decades through hospital, in-home, grief, and bereavement sitting. Having lost a father at a young age, Janet exemplifies that you “sit” better with others when you have sat in those grieving roles yourself. Her extensive sitting includes unique tea rituals, meditations, and silent ceremony throughout the end of life stages and grief support. Having served as a librarian and educational consultant for organization for years, Janet Walsh is a compassionate educator with 19+ years of diverse experience in enhancing the student and faculty academic experience through technology, teaching and innovation. Over the span of her academic career, Janet Walsh has provided training, web technology initiatives, program development, and strategic planning to large corporations, and college and university libraries. In 2013, Janet founded Tea Tea and Company with a vision of a tea revolution, strengthening communities and connections that gather at a common table for nourishment of body, mind and spirit. Janet has hosted over 2000 tea parties around the country celebrating hospitality, civility, community and end of life. She has worked with women, youth, families, organizations and community groups using the simple art of tea ceremony at business summits, trainings, workshops, and through etiquette training.
