Briana Perry is a facilitator, organizer, and advocate originally from Memphis, Tennessee. She received her B.A. in Sociology and Women’s and Gender Studies in 2013 from Vanderbilt University. In 2016, she completed her M.Ed. in Learning, Diversity, and Urban Studies at Vanderbilt University, Peabody College. Before starting a career in nonprofit advocacy work, she served as a teacher. While teaching, Briana became involved in organizing efforts around reproductive health, sexual assault awareness, and racial justice. She has been a member of an array of social justice organizations, and has led numerous workshops on topics such as Black feminism, reproductive justice, and transformative justice. She is a trained birth doula and community mediator. Briana enjoys writing, event planning, traveling, and being a beginner gardener. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
